We searched far and wide to find the perfect spot for our lodge. The West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island kept drawing us back time and again. We finally found what we had been looking for - an unspoiled environment with magnificent views. We have now realised our dream of developing a luxury boutique lodge where we can entertain visitors from around the world. We are looking forward to sharing our special place with you. You will also get to meet our English springer spaniel, Disa, who is a special part of our family. She is five years old and full of energy.
Breakfast
Enjoy your gourmet breakfast looking out over the breathtaking views of the West Coast's Hokitika River and alpine peaks beyond. The breakfast menu may include fresh fruit, homemade muesli, cereals, muffins, fresh juice, french toast, English breakfast, pancakes and yoghurts, Delicious cooked breakfast is a speciality and can be enjoyed either in the dining room or on the deck in the morning sun.
At the end of the day enjoy a your evening meal at one of Hokitika's excellent cafes and restaurants. We also have a selection of New Zealand wines available for purchase.

Check in/check out:
Check in from 3:00pm, check out 10:30am (or at another time by prior arrangement). In consideration of guests who stay at Rimu Lodge for the peace and quiet the lodge offers, we regret we are unable to accept bookings for children under the age of 12 years.

Deposit:
Reservations are made in advance with 25% of the total booking amount required and secured by Visa or Mastercard, direct credit or cheque. This deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Payment of the deposit is required at least 30 days prior to arrival and the balance on checkout with any other sundries. We recommend travel insurance.
Cancellation policy:
Should we not be able to replace your cancelled booking then the following will apply:
Rimu Lodge will recover 25% of quoted tariff if cancelled within 30 days of reservation date, or the full quoted tariff if the cancellation occurs within 7 days of reservation date. We will make every effort to rebook the room and reserve the right to enforce our cancellation policy if no replacement booking is received. We recommend adequate travel insurance to protect against late cancellation penalties.
